Resumen

El 16º objetivo de la Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible destaca la importancia de desarrollar capacidades para la prevención de la delincuencia. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de este artículo era comprobar si existen componentes del espacio físico en el vestíbulo de entrada de una universidad brasileña que reducen la vigilancia, animando a personas no autorizadas a entrar en el edificio. En este colegio, una estudiante fue robada dentro de su aula por un supuesto intruso. El método utiliza el enfoque de la Prevención del Delito mediante el Diseño Ambiental para la observación y el análisis in situ (parte cualitativa), la Teoría de la Sintaxis Espacial mediante el software DephtMapX para elaborar el mapa de visibilidad (parte cuantitativa) y el programa Photoshop para procesar las imágenes. Los resultados revelaron que el gran número de puntos de entrada y salida, la disposición (mostrador de control y torniquetes) y la colocación de la puerta de acceso a la calle, las escaleras y los pilares son los elementos del espacio físico que reducen la vigilancia en el vestíbulo.

Suéllen Mota Marques Costa, UEMG - UNIVERSIDADE DO ESTADO DE MINAS GERAIS

Professor at the Escola de Design at the Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais (UEMG); researcher at the Centro de Estudos em Design e Tecnologia (CEDTec) at UEMG and researcher at the Laboratório de Computação Ambiental em Arquitetura e Urbanismo (CA_AU) at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), with Design for Crime Prevention (Design Against Crime and Crime Prevention Thorough Environmental Design) as her main research line. She is a doctoral student in Architecture and Urbanism at the Escola de Arquitetura of UFMG; master in Civil Construction from the Escola de Engenharia of UFMG (2017), specialist in Civil Construction from the Escola de Engenharia of UFMG (2014), architect and urban planner from the Escola de Arquitetura of UFMG (2009) and building technician from the Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica de Minas Gerais (2002). Through CEDTec, she collaborates with the international research networks DESIS (Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability) and LeNS (Learning Network on Sustainability), as well as with the partnership between CEDTec and the Design Against Crime Reserach Lab (DACRL), from the University of the Arts London (UAL).

Renato César Ferreira de Souza, UFMG - UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DE MINAS GERAIS

He has a degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) (1985), a master's degree in Architecture from the same university (1998) and a doctorate (Ph.D) in Architecture from The University of Sheffield, United Kingdom (2008). He also has a master's degree from the Post-Graduation Certificate on Higher Education (PCHE) in the United Kingdom. He is currently Associate Professor 1 exclusively at UFMG. He is also accredited in the Postgraduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism at EAUFMG (NPGAU) and teaches in the Postgraduate Program in Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine at UFMG. His areas of interest are Architecture and Urbanism, with an emphasis on Planning, Urban Space Design and Urban Health. He is also dedicated to the study of Contextual Computing and its technological implications for Architecture, urban space, and public health. Its areas of activity mainly correspond to the following themes: architectural design, environmental assessment, architecture and IT, teaching architecture and urbanism, contextual computing.

Rita de Castro Engler, UEMG - UNIVERSIDADE DO ESTADO DE MINAS GERAIS

Graduated in Civil Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (1985); master's degree in Production Engineering from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (1988) and specialization (DEA) and doctorate in Production Engineering and Technological Innovation Management from Ecole Centrale Paris (1993); post-doctorate in Design from the Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais (1994), post-doctorate in Social Design from Ryerson University (2014). She received a master's scholarship at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro and a doctor's scholarship at the Ecole Centrale Paris. She was chargé des cours in Ecole des Mines de Paris; project coordinator at the Centro de Pesquisas e Desenvolvimento da Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais; professor and coordinator of the Master's Degree in Technology Management at the Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica do Rio de Janeiro; director and partner of Eventail_ Produções & Eventos; as well as she created and coordinated the Leadership Center at Business School São Paulo. She is professor in Innovation and Design in the doctoral and master's program in Design at the Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais; researcher with a productivity grant from CNPq; guest professor at the University of Tennessee, Christian Brothers University, Middle Tennessee State University, Ryerson University, POLITO, Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Stellenbosch University and University of the Arts London. She is also responsible in Brazil for the Engineering Management Consortium, as well as coordinator of the Centro de Estudos em Design e Tecnologia (CEDTec), a laboratory that participates in the DESIS Network (Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability) and LeNS (Learning Network on Sustainability).
