EL PAISAJE SONORO COMO HERRAMIENTA PARA FOMENTAR LA CULTURA MUSICAL EN LA CIUDAD DE COTACACHI

This research addresses the sensory dimension of the urban environment of Cotacachi, using the Daumal method as its central axis. The study is based on the technique of visual deprivation to enhance the auditory acuity of the participants, allowing for an in-depth analysis of the acoustic complexity of the territory. Through an analytical structure that links categories such as public space, musical culture, and heritage identity, the interaction between the subject and various architectural and natural landmarks, such as the main church and San Francisco Park, is examined. The document details the implementation of qualitative assessment instruments, including scales designed to measure emotional impact, environmental aesthetics, and participants' ability to identify specific sound marks. It also explores the segmentation between natural and artificial acoustic sources present in strategic nodes and streets with a high heritage identity. The primary objective is to determine how urban configuration and social dynamics influence the perception of the landscape, establishing a technical basis for the assessment of the region's intangible auditory heritage.
