DEVELOPMENT PROCESS OF AN ILLUSTRATED DICTIONARY OF LIGHTING COMFORT

Light is an essential element for life, with about 70% of human perception being visual. In addition, it is responsible for a significant portion of the energy consumption of buildings. Given the relevance of the topic, this work aims to develop an illustrated dictionary on light comfort, aimed mainly at students and professionals in architecture, urbanism and civil engineering. As a methodology, firstly, national and international bibliographies on the subject were researched and a list of the hundred entries considered most relevant was made. Each entry received at least three direct citations and one or more images were attributed to help in understanding the description. Subsequently, a photographic survey was made of architectural elements that help in the understanding of expressions about light comfort. At the end, a formatting and organization of the initial layout of the dictionary content was done. Subsequently, we aspire to develop explanatory drawings, of a didactic nature, to improve the understanding of each entry in addition to the description of the terms also in the Spanish language, to serve, in addition to Brazil, the Latin American community.
