Trans black aging in Brazil: necropolitics and violence in contemporary Brazil
Keywords:

The present study deals with the phenomenon of the aging of the black transsexual, transvestite and transgender population, that is, that composed of black and brown people, in Brazil – here generically called black trans people – evidencing i) the absence of constitutional policies directed towards the resolution effective response to the specific demands of this part of the population, which suffers from the state's omission regarding the right to life, freedom, respect, human dignity, food, health, education, culture, sport, leisure, professionalization, work, social assistance, social security, housing, transport, protective measures and priority of care; and ii) necropolitics as the maximum expression of the structural extermination and denial of the existence of black trans bodies. In the end, it is proposed to fill this gap through the class struggle carried out by organized civil society and led by elderly black trans people; and, also, the state performance in the light of the prospective dimension of Edson Luiz Fachin, through the role of the Judiciary as a determining agent for the implementation of constitutional policies that make these rights effective by prospecting them from reality.
