Law 10.639/03 and environmental racism: interdependencies for a forceful implementation

When we carried out a research in the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations - CAPES, it was possible to observe that, even though they are relevant themes for a large part of Brazilian society, few theses were found with the terms “Law nº 10.639/03” and “Environmental Racism”, based on the area of concentration “Education”, name of the program “Education”. Because it is not possible to find any work that presents the dialogical relationship of feedback interdependence that takes place between environmental racism and Law nº 10.639/03, and recognizing the existence of a gap in relation to the theme, we understand the relevance of the reflection from which this search originates. Such research becomes a denunciation, in the absolutely Freirean sense – the announcement of another possibility, or in other words, it points out some implications for the announcement of a liberating education.
