For commitment to research in human rights: the abandonmentof cynicism and the return of politics in academic research

This essay brings some reflections on how to carry out research committed to human rights. The essay distances itself from generic and easy solutions, presents some strategies that, based on the experiences of this researcher, were built, and indicates the abandonment of cynicism and fear of criticism as an uncomfortable, necessary and urgent posture.
