Lenin: from need to action. State, party and revolution

Abstract

Vladimir Ilitch Lenin, the practical man of communism, worked intensely in the Russian revolutionary movement and bequeathed us a competent theory to think the formation and organization of a revolutionary party, the state and its role as a mechanism of oppression of workers and as a revolutionary instrument, and the revolution, the way to understand the historical moment and actively act in its construction. Starting from the unity between Lenin's life and work, the historical moment and its specificity, we present in this work some of his most important conceptions regarding the party, the State and the revolutionary movement, pointing out from the criticisms raised against his legacy the historicity and constant need for revision when incorporating Leninist theory into contemporary Brazilian political militancy.
