Repression and 'operação limpeza' in Santa Catarina on the beginning of the Military Dictatorship

Abstract

Abstract: This article discusses the first repressive measures out by the military dictatorship and the state of Santa Catarina in the immediate post-coup. Attentive, above all, civil servants investigated by determining the Ato Institucional nº 1, of April 9, 1964, by the Comissão Estadual de Investigação, a institution established under the Secretaria do Interior e Justiça and responsible for proposing, in front of the government, the sanctions of the referred act in the civil servants framed as 'subversives'.
