Abstract

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development establishes goals, targets and indicators for the benefit of the people and the planet, and for prosperity. Therefore, it has 17 sustainable development goals and 175 targets. The ODS11 is the one that refers to the reduction of the per capta impact on cities towards to solid waste. This qualitative study aims to understand how a pilot project of containerized selective collection was implemented in a neighborhood, at Guarapuava, a city in the State of Paraná, in Brazil, such as its contributions to the fulfillment of goal number 11.6 on the 2030 agenda. Five interviews were carried out with representatives of the neighborhood, in addition to an interview with the representatives of the secretary of the environment. It were also used the direct observation and field diary, with the collection period begin from november to december of 2021.
