“Never underestimate a public school teacher. Never”: these words – spoken by Tim Walz (2024) – demonstrate the importance of the teacher in education, including its different aspects of schooling, as well as the social basis of the school, however much in the critical analysis of the years 1960-70 has been dubbed the Ideological State Apparatus, especially in the writings of Louis Althusser, referring this concept to a social class relationship, which Bourdieu and Passeron (1970) delved deeper into the sociology of education and the context of pedagogy. Based on this idea, the text delves into the extent to which public school teachers are different from others, although all teachers have a common denominator.
