Abstract

This article aims to present an experience reporto on the use of historical sources in the high school years, at the Mário Martins Full-Time Educational Center, inthe contexto of the Programa Residência Pedagógica (PRP/Capes), of the Full Degree Course in History, of the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI/CSHNB). The experience report aims to presente the diferente types of historical sources, identify the relationship between sources and thinking historically, and finally, present the use of historical sources in the classroom based on History Education Theory. To do this, we carried out a documentary analysis of the chosen historical sources and presented a reporto f teaching experiences though the aula-oficina proposed by historian Isabel Barca (2004). In this way, the article aims to share experiences in the área of History Education and contribute to teacher training.
