Abstract

The phenomenon of human language is facing a new paradigm, that of the hyper-connected world, of engagement and sharing of narratives, of a new generation that from the very first minutes are already digital citizens. This new paradigm intertwines with what we have long had as a subject of research in the area of language. Ordinary language is present in digitally extended relationships, and it is also connected with the ecological world; we are therefore facing new problems in the area of language research, morality, our learning and intersocial interaction. In the eagerness to lay the groundwork by which we enter a highly complex field, we believe that we need to revisit authors who have given us good reviews, interpretations, and reinterpretations on the subject of analytic philosophy and morality. Here we will revisit Wittgenstein and P.F. Strawson, because both are concerned with answering, with an interest in language, what the task of philosophy is. Knowing the influence exerted by Wittgenstein on Strawson's philosophical vision, and that Strawson considers that the Wittgensteinian goal is also his, it is urgent to identify the central point that Strawson takes as being negative in the Austrian philosopher's morphology, and how he reorients such position to a grammatical analysis, this being Strawson's justification for the question "what is philosophy?" This will be the first step in establishing the second premise of our argument, that we need to extend the reinterpretative process initiated by Strawson. The present paper, through bibliographical research, will describe how the influence of Spengler and Goethe provided two central axes for Wittgenstein's morphology and his perspective on philosophy, and how the change developed by Strawson modify these axes. The results allow us to state that it is up to philosophy a process of theoretical reinterpretation in order to consider the new phenomena of our interactions, and that we can broaden theoretical discussions by extending the concept of language to the concept of communication, this concept being an initial presupposition, involving the multiple components that surround us, the digital and biological; thus extending considerations to the question "what is philosophy?".
