Processes analysis and improvement are feature of any and every organization that aims the continuous improvement and organizational betterment. In this context, the main objective of this study was to propose a process analysis approach by means of the integration of BPM and Lean methodologies in a public higher education institution (IES). This study is defined as a case study, characterized as an applied research with qualitative approach, per participant-observation in data collection. From the point of view of objectives, it is descriptive. As a result of this study, a complementarity of the methodologies (BPM and Lean) was observed, allowing the use of the principles and techniques of each of the approaches, in order to understand and define the critical process, until its respective mapping and analysis, culminating in the root cause analysis of the diagnosed problems and subsequent propositions of improvements to the process.References
