VSM: a flexibilidade e a versatilidade do uso no campo da Sustentabilidade

Resumen

As empresas estão sob forte pressão para melhorar e manter a qualidade do produto, atender aos requisitos emergentes para redução do impacto ambiental e ainda responder as exigências de seus stakeholders. Nesse cenário, encontrar ferramentas que facilitem seus esforços para melhorar a gestão de suas operações se tornou vital. O mapeamento de fluxo de valor (VSM) é uma técnica importante utilizada na Produção Enxuta (Lean Manufacturing - LM) para identificar e visualizar o desperdício. Várias propostas de VSM que incorporam métricas de sustentabilidade estão disponíveis na literatura, o que aumenta sua utilidade como ferramenta para identificar possíveis áreas de melhoria. Aceitando a hipótese de que as ferramentas exercem um papel fundamental no sucesso da LM considerando aspectos da sustentabilidade, esse estudo analisou 14 modelos de VSM encontrados na literatura dos últimos 10 anos (2007 a 2017), identificando os indicadores considerados, bem como a abrangência dos mesmos nos três pilares da sustentabilidade. Pode-se concluir que a ferramenta VSM é adequada para analisar aspectos da sustentabilidade nas operações produtivas, sendo uma ferramenta que, apesar de simples abordagem, apresenta potencial de envolver aspectos ambientais, econômicos e sociais das organizações.
