DISCURSOS E INTERDISCURSOS DE PROFESSORES HOMOSSEXUAIS

Abstract

We set out, in this article, to investigate the discourses and interdiscourses of homosexual teachers about their sexuality in the school context, these being teachers from state schools in the city of Jales-SP. This with the aim of verifying and understanding the discourses and interdiscourses of the homosexual teacher within the school, whether he exposes himself or has to remain silent about his reality, in addition, understanding how the discourse of the “other” can shape their identities. The research is carried out in line with the theoretical assumptions of French-oriented Discourse Analysis, and is therefore qualitative research. To do this, we used printed questionnaires and semi-structured interviews as research resources in order to better discuss the topic in question and analyze the speeches of these teachers. We emphasize that this article is part of the Master's dissertation research, in progress, linked to the XXXXXXXX entitled “Discourse by Homosexual Teachers: Inside or Outside the Cabinet". Therefore, we conclude that homosexual teachers bring experiences of control by the school in their speeches, as well as in their memories; There are teachers who, due to the conservative discourses prevalent in school spaces, decide or are placed in the closet, being a way of protecting themselves from homophobia and avoiding being seen as deviant from the conservatism prevalent in schools.
