Abstract
This article investigates the intersection of art and activism in the fight for LGBTQIA+ rights in Florianopolis, highlighting artistic expression as a form of resistance and visibility. Through the analysis of a work by Leonardo Sanchez, it explores how artistic interventions provoke reflections on identity, loneliness, and marginalization. Additionally, it discusses the rising violence against LGBTQIA+ individuals in the city, evidenced by recent data, and the need for cultural spaces that promote diversity. The article concludes by encouraging the presence of art as a means of advocacy and social transformation, symbolizing the struggle for rights and the construction of a more inclusive society.
