How to make an historian. The place of Oswaldo Rodrigues Cabral in Santa Catarina´s historiography

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyze some aspects of the production of Oswaldo Rodrigues Cabral as an historian. A history buff has become one of the greatest icons of the historiography of the state of Santa Catarina. But this " making of" is entangled with his life story. And more, is entangled with the writing of his texts, the spaces of knowing wich he was part, by his agreement with his peers and the breadth of his collection.
