Religion and education in Nova Trento, the Italian colonization to the 1940s

Abstract

This article analyzes how the school in Nova Trento, a city located about 80 km from the capital of Santa Catarina, is constituted as an area of training and religious education since the beginning of Italian colonization to the site until the 1930s. For school interests converged institutional, political and religious, although they seemed different, when it comes to religious education, much coincided.
