History brought to the table: cultural heritage and food crops Teutonic-Brazilian and Luso-Brazilian in Santa Catarina

Abstract

The XVIII and XIX century have an great influence in Santa Catarina history. It was in this period that the first immigrants, Portuguese and German, begin to came to the south of Brazil. After that, o process of creation of two new cultures, teuto-brazilian and luso-brazilian. This article wants to historicize the new cultures that were developed here, focusing in the food heritage, analyzing how that practices use to serve and still serve to legitimate an identity in the news cultures.
