Modernism and history of literature in Santa Catarina in 1950s

Abstract

This article analyzes Osvaldo Ferreira de Melo Filho treatise about literature of Santa Catarina of the years 1950. We could perceive how non literary aspects affected the treatise and how the formulated questions about literature reflect more ample questions. Through these questions and the way Osvaldo Ferreira de Melo Filho answers, we can understand a little bit of this society vision and this vision of the past
