Women as informal workers in Florianopolis (ending of XIX century and beggining of XX one)

Abstract

The propose of this article is the study of women on informal space, presenting the way those workers was related with the exclusionary Florianopolis’ society with the hygienist context at their lives, struggles and conquests on their routine, mainly at work. Using the bibliography about those theme and the memories of those women from 20th century, also using two interview performed by Jaqueline Schimitt, found on her dissertation. Featuring those workers on the informal space as important subjects of history, the opposite of their past, where they weren’t considered workers not even the ideal model of woman, women on that period of timeline.
