Entrench far from front: quotidian in Florianópolis during the World War II

Abstract

During the Second World War, the nationalization politic of Vargas government was intensified and acquired new contours, specially in the quotidian of the Santa Catarina population. My approach tends to focus mainly the quotidian of the German immigrants who lived in the capital of Santa Catarina during the war, since they were the citizens that suffered more implications by the New State nationalization politics, stirred up by the newspapers of the period and assimilated by the Lusitanian origin population. I look for rumors about this war away from the front in interviews and in the already mentioned newspapers
