Abstract

The aim of this work is to present the proposal of Paul Ricoeur (1913-2005) for an hermeneutic phenomenology. The basis of his proposal is the thesis that husserlian phenomenology has an impassable interpretative aspect. Following one of Ricoeur’s steps in Du texte à l’action (1986), we will focus on his analysis about the notion of phenomenological constitution, as it was drawn by Edmund Husserl (1859-1938) in his fourth and fifth Cartesian Meditation (1929).
