Abstract

By means of a preliminary study about the initial contacts between the Guarani Indigenous and the European in the region of Santa Catarina’s Central Coast, this paper aims to render problematic on the need to confront the travelers reports and the ethnography as sources in History (comprehending that all the sources have their contexts) to the other type of registers from other Sciences. The absence or not of sources’ complexification used for the theme in the state makes excessive diffuse and punctual interpretations which are found in many current discourses. It is supported, though the actuation of Interdisciplinary reflections on the process of constructing History, especially among Human Sciences.
