As cidades como espelhos

Abstract

It is possibly the city's largest meeting point between human beings. A place multiple, where the flow of history, in fact, occurs with more intensity. Spaces that behave as a result of time and performance of the individual, outlining memories and generating consequent reflexes, as in a mirror, what the man himself finds himself making it capable of attracting the eye. Thus, the city has (re-) means and allows the subject, the biases of memory and history, compose their own identity. Here, we propose to discuss some aspects related to what we understand about the cities and their relationship to human beings, trying to think of their transformations, uses, disuses and construction of the discourse on the identity of the individual - as a this group - with the city creates.
