Imaginação, mistério e horror na literatura brasileira

Abstract

O presente artigo faz uma proposta para teorizar e estudar narrativas de  Imaginação, mistério e horror na literatura brasileira. Por meio de um panorama histórico sobre as principais vertentes críticas no Brasil, as quais avaliaram a produção nacional sob o prima europeu, explica-se o apagamento das narrativas de cunho incognoscível. O artigo apresentar diversos textos ao longo dos séculos XIX, XX e XXI que podem ser lidos na chave do fantástico, do sobrenatural e do horror gótico.

Daniel Serravalle de Sá, Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina

From an early age Daniel Serravalle de Sá has alternated between long periods of residence in Brazil and Britain. He worked as a Graduate Teaching Fellow at the University of Manchester for three years, where he read for his PhD (2010). Currently he is Senior Lecturer at Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil. His research interests incorporate the study of popular culture and the relationship between literature and cinema. In recent years, Daniel has written about the Gothic and its manifestations in different cultural contexts.
