Paul Ricoeur: uma hermenêutica do trágico

Este trabalho investiga as relações entre linguagem e mundo desenvolvidas por Paul Ricoeur a partir de um tratamento semântico. Para ele, a linguagem só pode falar quando o homem se pronuncia. Nesse momento, ela se atualiza como discurso e se dirige a alguém. Se ainda hoje há interesse nas tragédias gregas, somos nós seus destinatários. A reflexão ricoeuriana permite que tomemos a encenação trágica, trabalhada poeticamente, como uma compreensão do agir humano com sua semântica, sua simbólica e temporalidade. Em Ricoeur, o trágico grego é uma das manifestações do mal. A constante presença do trágico na história ocidental traz o postulado subjacente à reconfiguração do mundo possível, através do teatro ou da leitura dos trágicos, em que o mal não deve ser desconsiderado. Nesse caso, a hermenêutica do trágico grego permite não apenas uma compreensão ética do kósmos político da democracia ateniense, mas, sobretudo, a compreensão de nós mesmos em nossa atualidade.

Abstract

Through a semantic perspective, this paper addresses the  relationship between language and the world as developed by Paul  Ricoeur, who defends the idea that the language can speaks only when Man speaks; it is updated as speech, and it is addressed to someone. And if today there is still interest in the Greek tragedies, we are their recipients. The Ricoeurian reflection allows us to take a poetically crafted tragic scenario as a way of understanding human action in all its semantic, symbolic, and temporal dimensions. For Ricoeur, the Greek tragic is one of the manifestations of the evil. And the constant presence of tragedy in Western history suggests that evil should not be ignored in possible reconfigurations of the world, as the theater and the reading of the tragedies remind us. In this case, the tragic hermeneutics in classic Greek texts allows one not only an ethical understanding of the political kosmos of the Athenian democracy, but above all, an understanding of ourselves.
