The “New Industry Brazil” Plan in relation to imperialism

Authors

Abstract

This article briefly recovers the concept of imperialism to discuss how Theotonio Dos Santos' thinking can respond to the expectations of neo-industrialization, brought about by the current Brazilian government, based on the “New Industry Brazil” (NIB) plan. Thus, we sought to observe this plan by recovering some contributions from different authors who took up this concept for a slight analysis of the Brazilian neo-industrialization plan, some of its possibilities and limits in international relations and to estimate the singularity that we can gather in this author's thoughts on these issues. At the end, we present our considerations that we believe are important for the debate at hand.
