Comorbidades Psiquiátricas no Transtorno do Espectro Autista: Um Artigo de Revisão

O Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) é um distúrbio do neurodesenvolvimento, heterogêneo e de forte componente genético. Possui alta prevalência de comorbidades psiquiátricas, explicada tanto por mecanismos fisiopatológicos semelhantes quanto por sobreposição de sintomas e fatores externos, questões que podem tanto dificultar o diagnóstico da associação quando gerar mecanismo agravante entre os distúrbios. Nesse sentido, o entendimento dessas comorbidades se faz importante visto que seu diagnóstico e manejo se relacionam a melhores prognósticos e desfechos no acompanhamento do TEA. Por esses fins, a presente revisão objetiva abordar aspectos atuais de interesse clínico e científico sobre as comorbidades psiquiátricas do TEA.
