Focus and Scope

 The Journal of Lean Systems is an electronic scientific journal, directed to the scientific community (teachers, researchers, students and professionals) working in Lean Systems and related areas. The Journal of Lean Systems aims at disseminating knowledge, expanding and promoting the debate about the interest of the academic community and institutions. It is a quarterly publication of papers that present relevant contributions with regards to the Lean principles in the following areas:

- Implementation of lean practices and principles;

The Journal of Lean Systems will accept papers in Portuguese, Spanish and English.

Peer Review Process

The journal has a permanent editorial team and 'ad hoc' reviewers, avoiding institutional, geographical and thematic concentration of its members. Both editorial board members and ad-hoc reviewers are recognized researchers within the academic community. Members of the Editorial Board will be listed in the "About" section. Articles submitted will be sent to two reviewers, without identification (double-blinded review process). In case of contradictory opinions, the work will be sent to a third reviewer. Approved articles will undergo an anti-plagiarism analysis through Grammarly® software, those that do not respect the anti-plagiarism requirements will be rejected during editing.

 

Publication Frequency

The Journal of Lean Systems publishes its articles quarterly in electronic format.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal offers immediate free access to its content, following the principle that providing free scientific knowledge to community increases the global democratization of knowledge.


Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text articles.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
