Burnout em residentes de anestesiologia – uma revisão da literatura

Resumo

Objetivos: O objetivo desta revisão foi circunstanciar a prevalência do burnout em residentes de Anestesiologia e fatores associados. Métodos: Para a elaboração deste artigo fez-se uma revisão de trabalhos publicados nas bases de dados eletrônicas Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (Medline/PubMed), Google Acadêmico e The Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) até a data de 31 de julho de 2020. O primeiro passo foi a busca pelos descritores “burnout”, "occupational stress”, “residents or residency or trainees" e "Anesthesia or Anesthesiology”. Resultados: Encontrou-se um total de 82 artigos sobre burnout em residentes de Anestesiologia, mostrando que a condição possui alta prevalência por tratar-se de uma condição de aprendizado em ambiente altamente estressor. Destes, 8 artigospreencheram os critérios para inclusão na revisão Conclusão: As características sociodemográficas dos estudos apresentaram grande variabilidade de associação ao burnout, podendo justificar-se com variações culturais.
